'Part Bradbury, part Orwell. Wholly original.'
Dan Howarth, author of Last Night of Freedom and Drone

When Ruby Transport draws the unwanted attention of his colony’s system authorities, a strange stumble into a wonderful dream world promises to shatter every illusion of his reality.

Ruby Transport lives unhappily in a utopian Mars colony. When his inability to conform sees him fall foul of the system’s authorities, he suffers a strange mental break that sees him stumble into the dream world. Navigating both the dream world and reality, and his relationships in both, is key to unravelling the true nature of colony life. But, with an impending threat from Earth drawing near, can Ruby discover what he needs to save not only himself but those he’s come to love?

Exploring themes of mental health, existentialism, and authoritarianism, Howard seamlessly blends philosophical intrigue with compelling science fiction, to explore what it means to be truly free.
